Resources Overview
Resources are specific service entries attached to domains. When you tap a resource, OmniGate opens a different built-in client based on the resource type.
| Resource | How It Opens | Main Configuration |
|---|---|---|
| Web | Built-in browser | URL |
| SSH | Built-in terminal | host, port, username, authentication method |
| SFTP | File manager | Enable SFTP toggle on an SSH resource |
| FTP | File manager | host, port, path, username, password |
| SMB | File manager | host, port, path, username, password |
| WebDAV | File manager | URL, username |
| VNC | Built-in VNC client | host, port, password |
Adding a Resource
- Enter the resource list of a domain.
- Tap the add button.
- Select the resource type.
- Fill in the connection configuration.
- Save.
Editing and Deleting
Swipe left on a resource in the resource list to edit or delete. You will be asked to confirm before deletion.
Reordering
The resource list supports drag-to-reorder. The order only affects display.
Default Ports
OmniGate automatically fills in commonly used default ports for some resources:
| Protocol | Default Port |
|---|---|
| SSH / SFTP | 22 |
| FTP | 21 |
| SMB | 445 |
| VNC | 5901 |
Web and WebDAV use the port from the URL. If the URL does not include a port, http defaults to 80 and https defaults to 443.
Home Screen Shortcuts
Resources can be added to the iOS home screen as shortcut icons. Swipe left on a resource in the resource list, select "Shortcut," and Safari will open a setup page. Follow the prompts to complete the process. See Home Screen Shortcuts for details.
